I love this quilt for a few reasons! It was a gift for a friend's little girl ... partly for her Birthday last year & partly 'just because' ... "Hayley's Bright Springtime" ... .... she loves it so much & I get a kick out of that! Also love that on Flickr & my post about it last year it's had lots of visits! Big, strong healthy girl! Yay!Sent a parcel with a gift for her not knowing at that point be she a boy or a girl but used fabrics that years ago I made a quilt for her older sister Felicity! Big Whirly Gigs with lots of pebbling .... The parcel has arrived now so I can tell & show you all about it!I'm secretly so relieved she is a girl ... only because the fabric I used as the backing is really a bit more girlie .... whew!

2 - Golden Yellow thrifty table for a really simple sum: Was so so so grubby, texta, paint, stickers etc ... wonders what some Bi-carb & Vinegar can do! Is our new outdoor kiddo table for messy stuff! Perfect!3 - Lucky recipient of Andi's 'Pay It Forward' .... thank you kindly Andi ... such a cute note book will be used & cherished4 - Hearing my beautiful little boy start saying "Oooops-a-daisy!" & having fun planning his "Honk your Horns" Party!
Crazy week with all of us 'off colour' ... but we're getting back on top of things again (& the extra washing!) Nothing quite like changing a child & their bed more than a few times a day! Anyway - all is good now! Whew!So the rainbow is now high in the sky! Hooray ... I've had a fabulous pile of felt colours calling out! 'make Oscar a felt board please' So a canvas frame & a larger felt piece, staple gunned to the back ... some TV viewing & some shapes cut ready to go!Oh & a rainbow cut ... but we haven't played with that yet .... A Mum's got to always have more ideas up your sleeve! Edit: Here's another felt board from a fabulous blog I've just found!

(& Sam's crochet lesson!) & how about Kylie's compact applique coaching ... all good! Leah has even already posted about that gorgeous curly scarf she was making last night! We did do our swaps .... all gorgeous! Looking good huh! I am 'entered' twice so my collection is growing quickly (80 = about x1 m sq) & I keep making a few extras each time! I got mine made just in time for last night without stressing! Whew! I still have a stack partially made ... by the sounds of things so do a few other people!!! Yay ... When one of my brothers was about 5 or 6 he did a fabulous drawing of the Sydney Harbour Bridge .... long story about how but it ended up on the front cover of the Australian 'Architect' magazine .... I colour photocopied it & framed it (yes - I do framing too in the spare moments I can!) for his Birthday ... now 30 something! Cute huh! He had signed it but I've smudged his name off for privacy!
